We just released the first vintage of Grüner Veltliner Hommage Josef Nigl from the dream vintage 2021.
In 2021 we decided to make a wine as an Hommage to my grandfather Josef Nigl from one of the oldest vineyards in our winery.
When my father took over the winery 1985 my grandfather already had a vineyard in the Pellingen site. It was his favorit vineyard that he cultivated and we knew pretty fast that that there was only one vineyard for the Hommage Josef Nigl . Grown on primary rock soil and fermented in small oak casks the hommage is a wine with elegance , structure and depth.
